What I did
Owns the monthly close and spend variance reporting for a 100-plus engine fleet program, and rebuilt the reporting to make it faster and cleaner.
Reviews leadership-facing financials, and caught and resolved a $20+M full-year reporting error before it reached the executive team.
Defends the company's spend against its MRO overhaul vendors by substantiating credit refunds and challenging multimillion-dollar invoices line by line against contract, on the first claim under a newly signed master agreement.
Built a leaner-capital strategy for the fleet's spare engines that held service levels while cutting idle spare-days from 476 to 455 and freeing the working capital they tie up.
Led engine-fleet integration for a major acquisition, bringing 15-plus acquired engines into the operating financial picture and standing up the reference framework the combined program now runs on.
Runs the cross-functional weekly engine program review and serves as the commercial point of contact to the MRO vendors behind the program's largest maintenance costs.
Scope also covers overhaul-vendor negotiations, multimillion-dollar insurance recovery and the long-term fleet-disposition strategy that decides how capital is deployed across the fleet.
Models I work with
Monthly close and spend variance
The monthly read on a 100-plus engine fleet program, rebuilt to be faster and cleaner.
Spare-engine capital
Spare engine counts against service levels, and the working capital they tie up.
Vendor invoice review
MRO overhaul invoices checked line by line against contract, with credit refunds substantiated.
Fleet integration framework
The reference framework that brings acquired engines into the operating financial picture.
Sample build: spare engine sizing
How many spare engines does a fleet need so an aircraft is rarely waiting for one? Engines in the shop at any moment follow a Poisson count. The model finds the smallest spare pool that covers the chosen service level, then prices the capital and the idle days.

Idle spare-days a year

| Service level | Spares | Capital |
|---|---|---|
| 80% | 6 | $72M |
| 90% | 7 | $84M |
| 95% | 7 | $84M |
| 99% | 9 | $108M |
At 95.0% service, a 60-engine fleet needs 7 spare engines, which ties up $84M and leaves about 1,157 idle spare-days a year.
